To help us investigate your complaint efficiently we will ask you for the following information:

- The name of the person you have been dealing with
- The nature of your complaint
- Details of any steps you have taken to resolve your complaint
- Details of any conversations you had with us that is relevant to your complaint
- Copies of any documentation which supports your complaint

The Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (“FIMM”) is recognised by the Securities Commission (“SC”) Malaysia as a self-regulatory organisation. The FIMM regulates the marketing and distribution of Unit Trust Schemes (“UTS”) and Private Retirement Schemes (“PRS”) and handles complaints that relate to the conduct of Distributors and Consultants and regarding matters that breach FIMM’s Consolidated Rules.

The Financial Markets Ombudsman Service (FMOS) was established on 1 January 2025 through the consolidation of the Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS) and the Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center (SIDREC). FMOS is appointed by Bank Negara Malaysia and the Securities Commission Malaysia to provide dispute resolution services to financial consumers and investors. FMOS is an independent, impartial and accessible platform that resolves financial and capital market disputes involving direct financial losses.The services of FMOS are free for financial consumers and investors.

The Securities Commission Malaysia (“SC”) is a statutory body entrusted with the responsibility of regulating and systematically developing the Malaysia’s capital markets. It has direct responsibility in supervising and monitoring the activities of market institutions and regulating all persons licensed under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007. The Investor Affairs & Complaints Department of SC inquires complaints on improper conduct and other irregularities in the securities and futures markets to assess whether they disclose offences under the securities laws. You can direct your complaint to SC even after you have initiated a dispute resolution process with SIDREC.
